The creators of PASK.ID have once again proven that innovation knows no seasonality, elevating their proprietary IdM solution to the next level with new enhancements. Version 2.4.0 addresses the real challenges faced by users – both in terms of security and process efficiency. The new version of PASK offers greater control, a higher level of automation, and a reduced risk of redundant permissions.
Access limits
One of the most important new features of version 2.4.0 is the introduction of access limits. This feature allows PASK administrators to set the maximum number of identities that can access specific resources or perform specific roles in the system. For example, it is possible to limit access to the Jira application to only two identities or assign the ERP administrator role to a maximum of ten identities. The system automatically verifies that the limit will not be exceeded and, if so, blocks the task. This approach effectively eliminates the risk of excessive privileges and supports the principle of least privilege, which is crucial from a security, compliance, and audit perspective.
Automatic account updating in Entra and Active Directory systems
The new version of PASK has expanded its connector functionality for Microsoft Entra and Active Directory systems. Updating identity attributes such as job title, department, phone number, or email address automatically synchronizes these changes across MS Entra and Active Directory. This ensures data remains consistent across the entire IT environment, and the organization avoids the need for manual updates and reconciliations. This not only saves time and resources, but also reduces the risk of errors and significantly improves security.
Shared responsibility in decision-making
Another new feature is the ability to enable multi-person approval of access requests. This means that all individuals assigned to a specific approval task must consent for it to be approved. In the event of even a single negative decision, the entire task line is automatically rejected. This solution increases process transparency, introduces an element of team responsibility, and ensures compliance with the organization’s audit and compliance policies. The organization can independently decide whether to use this mechanism.
New space for managing accounts
Version 2.4.0 also introduces a completely new feature in the system – the Account Management Center. This allows control over “account” business roles in PASK. Users can quickly see which accounts are active, when they were last updated, and initiate a manual update. Update history is also available, allowing users to track changes and make informed decisions about access management. This is another step toward centralizing identity management within a single, intuitive platform.
Improvements that make a difference
The new version of the system also includes a number of smaller but extremely practical improvements. These include new system notifications, the ability to mass-disable automation with a single click, and intelligent substitution management, even in the absence of previously designated substitutes. All of these changes are designed to improve work ergonomics, eliminate bottlenecks, and increase the reliability of internal processes. Additionally, the option of grouping business roles has been added, along with new capabilities for sequential task management.
Summary and conclusions
PASK 2.4.0 is an iteration that brings real added value to organizations, both operationally and strategically. It enables more granular access control, automates data synchronization, and enhances the transparency of decision-making processes. Thanks to new functionalities and enhancements, the system even better meets the needs of dynamic, informed organizations for whom security and efficiency are critical elements of daily professional practice.
It’s worth noting that each new feature has been designed with the user in mind and addressing the real-world challenges faced by IT and compliance teams. This makes PASK not only an access management system but also a partner in building a modern, resilient, and compliant digital infrastructure.
