Uniteam, the exclusive distributor and manufacturer of the Polish identity management system PASK.ID, has added another strategic component to its solution. The product has been expanded to include native integration with Rublon’s multi-factor authentication tool. This allows PASK customers to enhance the security of their resources with access to an MFA module based on the FIDO2 standard, further protecting them against advanced phishing and man-in-the-middle attacks. This technological collaboration allows PASK to fully integrate with a modern enterprise-class authentication platform, significantly increasing the security of user authentication in organizations using PASK IdM.
Rublon MFA is a solution that utilizes physical security keys or passkeys, minimizing the effectiveness of phishing attacks to almost zero. This allows you to secure a wide range of environments and applications—from Windows and Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), through email services (e.g., Outlook Web App), to remote desktop services. Combining PASK with Rublon MFA provides organizations with a complete, compliant, centrally managed, and phishing-resistant solution.
Simplicity of implementation and intuitive use
PASK can be deployed in just a few weeks, and users immediately gain an intuitive command center for identities and their permissions. Integration allows for easy integration of MFA into existing login processes, without requiring modifications to target applications. This is a one-time process and requires no technical expertise. This allows organizations to quickly achieve the full functionality of a mature IdM system supported by strong, multi-factor authentication, bypassing complex processes and costly employee training.
Strengthening protection against identity theft
In response to the growing threats of unauthorized access and user account takeover, Uniteam gains a competitive advantage by offering modern and attack-resistant identity verification methods that go beyond standard password-based mechanisms.
Rublon MFA allows for the use of various types of authentication factors, including:
- FIDO2/U2F security keys – physical hardware tokens (e.g. YubiKey) that require the user’s presence and do not reveal network credentials;
- MFA mobile applications – with TOTP code generation or with login confirmation via the application;
- Push notifications with access approval – a method that increases user convenience while maintaining a high level of security.
The most important feature of FIDO2 technology, a key element of Rublon MFA, is its resistance to phishing attacks, password capture, and replay attacks. Unlike one-time passwords (OTPs) or SMS codes, which can be intercepted or spoofed, FIDO2 relies on asymmetric cryptography. Authentication data never leaves the user’s device, and the login process occurs locally and is confirmed using a private hardware key.
Thanks to this, organizations using the PASK system integrated with Rublon MFA receive real strengthening of protection against one of the most common and dangerous attack vectors – user account takeover through phishing, social engineering or malware.
The Uniteam and Rublon partnership is another step in our mission to provide organizations with tools that not only secure data but also simplify identity management. In a world where cyber threats are becoming increasingly advanced and attack methods increasingly sophisticated and difficult to detect, the responsibility for digital security cannot rest solely with the end user. Our joint technological response, based on phishing resistance, strong FIDO2 authentication, and centralized identity management, is clear and decisive: we are equipping organizations with a tool for effective protection and access control, without compromising usability or flexibility. summarizes the president of Uniteam, Tomasz Reszka.
Secure access through central management
By integrating with Rublon MFA, PASK enables organizations to centrally manage access and identity while enforcing strong authentication. This includes:
- consistent access policies: unified rules for access to applications, systems and data, regardless of the user’s location or device type;
- Enforcing MFA for selected groups or systems: granular management of security levels, with the ability to adjust requirements to role, location, risk level or type of access request;
- full history of logins and authorization attempts: central logging of access events with the possibility of auditing, incident analysis and detection of unusual behavior;
- compliance with regulations such as NIS2, GDPR, DORA and KNF recommendations;
- reducing the potential attack surface: eliminating passwords as the main attack vector thanks to the use of modern authentication methods;
- faster incident response: the ability to immediately block access to accounts or systems if a threat is detected;
- better user experience: Single Sign-On (SSO) combined with flexible MFA minimizes hassle while increasing security;
- integration with existing systems: easy connection to user directories (e.g. Active Directory), cloud applications and on-premises systems.
The technology partnership between Rublon and Uniteam confirms our commitment to fully integrate RublonMFA with the IT solutions, such as PASK, used by our target audience. Thanks to this collaboration, customers not only receive the highest level of access protection provided by RublonMFA in our technology partners’ products, but above all, they can extract additional value from their existing IT investments. – comments Rublon CEO, Michał Wendrowski.
The Rublon MFA platform is already operating in Polish public administration and institutions in over 50 countries, including primarily the USA, effectively counteracting phishing attacks.
The integration of PASK with Rublon MFA is a significant step in Uniteam’s business strategy. The integrated solution is now available under a single license agreement and consistent technical support. By offering clients a secure working environment, Uniteam confirms its position in providing modern identity management solutions in the Polish market.
